High Desert residents will have several opportunities to connect with local law enforcement, learn about community resources and enjoy family-friendly activities during this year’s National Night Out celebrations. Communities across Victorville, Apple Valley and Hesperia will host free events that promote neighborhood safety, strengthen relationships between first responders and residents, and encourage community involvement.
The Victorville Police Department will host National Night Out from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Mojave Vista Park, 16252 Burwood Ave., Victorville. The annual event is designed to build stronger partnerships between law enforcement and the community while promoting crime prevention and neighborhood safety. Residents are encouraged to meet local deputies and officers, connect with fellow community members and enjoy an evening focused on strengthening the community.
The Apple Valley Police Department will also welcome residents from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Apple Valley Civic Center Park, 14999 Dale Evans Parkway. The free event will feature vendor booths, community resources, family-friendly activities and opportunities to meet local public safety personnel. The Hesperia Police Department will host National Night Out beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Hesperia Civic Park, 15833 Smoke Tree St. The event will include emergency equipment and vehicle displays, community resource booths, giveaways, food and activities for the entire family. The Barstow Police Department, along with its public safety partners, will host National Night Out from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Dana Park, 850 Barstow Road. The event brings the community together with local first responders for an evening of live entertainment, interactive booths, safety demonstrations, family-friendly activities and opportunities to connect with law enforcement and public safety personnel. These events provide meaningful opportunities for residents to engage with local law enforcement, discover valuable community resources and help build safer, stronger neighborhoods throughout the High Desert.
