Mountain High will host three weekends of Oktoberfest beginning Oct. 7 at its historic North Lodge. The free event draws thousands of visitors to Wrightwood each year, with dozens of activities, live music and authentic German food and beer. Among the activities are a kids cider relay, pumpkin toss, yodeling contest, limbo contest, keg roll, stein holding contest and costume contest. For the kids, there is also a bounce house, hay bale maze, rock climbing wall, pumpkin patch and arts & crafts. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Oct 22. Due to overwhelming popularity and limited parking, guests are encouraged to carpool with a designated driver. Parking is free.
