Did you know that the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has a special team dedicated to assisting the homeless? The Homeless Outreach and Proactive Enforcement (H.O.P.E.) Team regularly patrols the High Desert and unincorporated communities with the goal of connecting the homeless with resources and service providers, reducing crime, and increasing the quality of life for citizens. Rather than supporting panhandling, the four-member team encourages citizens to donate to organizations that assist the homeless.
