San Bernardino County Regional Parks has announced that harmful algae has been detected in Mojave Narrows’ Pelican Lake. Although the lake remains open for fishing, it is recommended that you thoroughly gut and clean fish with tap water or bottled water before cooking. Keep children away from algae in the water or on the shore. Park staff are also warning not to allow pets to drink the lake water or eat scum on the shore.
