Phelan residents are invited to join the San Bernardino County Fire Department for a Household Hazardous Waste event on November 6. Drop off hazardous waste items such as antifreeze, electronics, batteries, oil, oil filters, cosmetics, pesticides, and much more. The event will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the CR&R Yard, 9828 Buckwheat Road in Phelan.
Transport no more than 15 gallons or 125 pounds in containers larger than 5 gallons with lids. Containers must be sound and not leaking. No business waste, tires, yard waste, asbestos and solid waste will be accepted. Please have all waste in the back of the vehicle. (Sharps/needles should be with driver.)
