It’s been a busy and festive week in the First District as communities throughout the High Desert held their tree lighting ceremonies and holiday parades.
The City of Victorville’s 74th annual Christmas Parade drew nearly 4,000 spectators this year! Additional celebrations included the Town of Apple Valley’s tree lighting ceremony on Tuesday, the City of Needles’ Holiday Parade on Saturday, Hesperia’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, and Phelan’s 1st annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday. The community of Wrightwood held its tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 29.
All of the events were well attended, and a great way for the communities to come together in celebration of the season.
