Smokey Bear

Smokey Bear is turning 81, and the public is invited to celebrate this beloved wildfire prevention icon at a special birthday event on Saturday, August 9, at the Big Pines Visitor Center in Wrightwood. Hosted by the U.S. Forest Service and local partners, the celebration will feature family-friendly activities including arts and crafts, educational tours, visits with USFS fire crews, and, of course, birthday cake.
