San Bernardino County has been working diligently to protect its most vulnerable community members, so I’m pleased to report that we’ve fully vaccinated 67 percent of our seniors ages 65+, and partially vaccinated 78 percent of our senior community. The CDC recommends threshold of 70% in this important demographic, so our numbers are looking extremely good!
“This is one of the first major milestones based on populations within the county that we have met, and it’s a good sign we’re on the right track to reach this milestone for other demographics,” said County Interim Public Health Director Andrew Goldfrach in the May 26 County Wire report. “However, it you are a senior still unvaccinated – or a caretaker of one – please take the time get yours.”
