The Wrightwood Community Services District’s “Fire on the Mountain” fundraiser was a resounding success, thanks to the overwhelming support of the community.
Residents and visitors alike came out in droves on Saturday to show their appreciation for the first responders and Bridge Fire victims. Among the agencies in attendance were San Bernardino County Fire, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Victor Valley Station, Cal Fire, Los Angeles County Fire, Angeles National Forest, Phelan Mounted Search and Rescue, and Hotshots from around the nation.
The event featured live performances by Nashville recording artists Sofie Tabesh and Chris Canyon, a variety of food trucks, and plenty of family fun. All funds raised are going directly to local fire victims.
“To date, we have raised over $9,000 in donations to aid Wrightwood residents who have lost their homes or businesses to the Bridge Fire,” said the CSD in a statement.
Donations will be accepted through October 4, 2024. If you would like to donate cash or a check, please visit the CSD office during office hours from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday, or 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. Friday.
