As Vice Chair of the Board, I was honored to thank the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) for adding the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians to the state’s Fire and Rescue Mutual Aid System.
This is fantastic news for San Bernardino County! As we know, wildfires are a constant threat, and this agreement ensures critical support when disaster strikes.
San Manuel’s Type III fire engine is a 4×4 vehicle that can go off-road to battle wildfires and respond to all-hazard events. This increases their capability to respond to both local and statewide incidents. San Manuel has been a fantastic neighbor for years, and this collaboration further strengthens our ability to face wildfires head-on.
