I’m excited to share some great news for the First District! At last week’s Board of Supervisors meeting, we approved two important items that will benefit our community:
- Improved traffic flow in Helendale/Silver Lakes: We’ve approved a preliminary engineering services agreement with BNSF Railway for an alternative access route at Vista Road to alleviate congestion caused by train crossings.
- Education and opportunity for youth: We partnered with Victor Valley College to provide crucial education, life skills and Construction Technology training to probation youth at A Restorative Integration for Successful Engagement (ARISE) in Apple Valley. This program will empower these youth with valuable skills and mentorship, setting them up for improved outcomes.
