The Community Stewardship Project of the High Desert will host a “Gardening in the Mojave” class from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 22. Learn how to grow native plants, explore desert vegetable gardening, site and soil preparation and water-smart irrigation. The event will take place at Neville and Tammy Slade’s Sustainable Design Home + The Sustainable Learning Center, located at 9780 Calico Road in Apple Valley.
