CAL FIRE’s new fire hazard maps may affect the cost and availability of your insurance — and where you can build on private property. The hazard maps are being updated to more accurately reflect the zones in California that are susceptible to wildfire.
Search for your address to check if it is in a fire hazard severity zone. Several areas of Wrightwood, Phelan, Pinon Hills, Hesperia and Apple Valley may be affected.
