Out with the old, in with the new! The communities of Lenwood and Hinkley are planning community cleanups on January 22!
San Bernardino County Code Enforcement and Solid Waste Management Divisions will be providing bulky trash collection containers for the free disposal of accumulated household trash, bulky items, green waste and vehicle tires. This is limited to residents of the unincorporated County areas in Hinkley and Lenwood.
The Hinkley event will take place from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Hinkley Community Center.
The Lenwood/Grand View event will take place from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 25133 W. Main Street, Barstow. This is a vacant lot west of Lenwood Market.
A maximum of 9 tires, including rims, will be accepted. The Urban Conservation Corps will be present to accept electronics. For more information, please call the Household Hazardous Waste Program at 1-800-645-9228.
