Congratulations to San Bernardino County’s Departments of Aging and Adult Services and Behavioral Health, who won a 2021 NaCO Achievement Award for their Age Wise 24/7 Senior Hotline program.
According to Program Manager Akin Ogunrinde, the hotline was developed “to enhance the senior population’s access to assistance and resources.”
“The Age Wise 24/7 Senior Hotline ensures that vulnerable seniors are able to reach a licensed clinical therapist by telephone 24-hours per day, seven days per week to address needs including, but not limited to emotional support, feelings of social isolation, behavioral health treatment, crisis intervention, education and linkage to resources,” added Ogunrinde.
