Victim advocates are trained professionals who provide support to victims and witnesses of crimes. This support can be in the form of emotional support, providing victims’ rights information, finding and providing resources such as shelter and victim compensation, and more. The office’s courthouse K-9s are trained to assist crime victims and witnesses during stressful stages of legal proceedings, including child forensic interviews/trials.
