On Tuesday, San Bernardino County officials announced that COVID-19 vaccine appointments are now open to all teachers, support staff and licensed child care providers in public or private institutions.
Many school districts have already arranged for the vaccinations through local hospitals, so staff are encouraged to check first with their supervisors or human resources department for availability. Appointments can be made through the County at http://sbcovid19.com/vaccine
In other news, many of our seniors who wanted the vaccine have received theirs, and appointments are now available the same day in many High Desert locations including Apple Valley, Hesperia and Victorville.
Seniors living in more remote regions of the County will have the chance to get vaccinated through our mobile clinics, which are being coordinated by the Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS). Upcoming locations will include Trona Senior Center and Needles Recreation Center. DAAS is working with community partners in remote areas to alert seniors about appointments and set up additional mobile clinic locations.
Be sure to follow our Facebook and Twitter for updates about when appointment dates and times become available on http://sbcovid19.com/vaccine. Additional information is available by calling the COVID-19 helpline at (909) 387-3911.
