Did you know that San Bernardino County’s Workforce Development Board offers free resources for job seekers? Here are just a few of the events planned every week:

Resume Workshops are offered at 10 a.m. every Wednesday via Zoom. During the meeting, you’ll learn the purpose of a resume, what recruiters want to see, how to create an updated resume for the current workforce, and types of resumes. Learn more and register.

Truck Driver Workshops are offered at 10 a.m. every Thursday via Zoom. These workshops provides information about how to get into trucking, where the jobs are and how much time is involved in the training.

Rapid Response Presentations: If you were laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Workforce Development offers webinars every Thursday to assist with frequently asked questions. Learn about unemployment insurance, the Affordable Care Act, child support, training grants and much more.

How to Get a Government Job: These workshops are offered every Monday via Zoom. Learn how to find government employment, how to create accounts, search for jobs and apply for jobs on various government websites.

Interview Skills and Social Media workshops are offered every Tuesday via Zoom. Learn about contemporary interviewing techniques, types of interviews, best practices, and questions that may be asked.

Free Tax Preparation: San Bernardino County Transitional Assistance Department is partnering with the Internal Revenue Service to bring free self-service tax preparation to eligible low-to-moderate income taxpayers. For more information, call (877) 410-8829.
