DESCRIPTION:The Sheriff’s Department is offering Lady Be Aware training for women who want to develop the attitude\, skills and knowledge that will help prevent them from becoming victims. The is a fantastic course that covers all types of safety\, including cyber safety\, home safety\, situational awareness\, and physical safety. All participants also get hands-on self-defense training\, including how to shoot three different types of firearms. Must provide a driver license to enroll. The event begins with a Freedom Mile Run at 8:45 a.m. This fun run is free\, and participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt while supplies last. \nThe Veterans Day Parade will begin at the corner of 7th Street and Tracy Street at 9 a.m. and proceed to the corner of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue where the ceremony will take place immediately following the conclusion of the parade.
